This is very different to how you used to be in your home country, you used to be very sociable and energetic and love communicating with everyone. But now you feel like you've lost a part of you.
This course has specifically been created to get rid of such barriers. You'll learn how to make conversation using specific phrases, useful terminology (phrasal verbs and idioms), sentence structurs and important cultural points. You'll learn how to communicate in a very natural way, with a lot more confidence from start to finish. You'll discover how to make your conversations more interesting so others will want to listen to you and engage in more conversations with you.
As an English teacher, fluent in both English and Farsi, I understand the challenges Farsi speaking students face when learning English. Through my years of experience in teaching English and my experience of having lived in Iran, I understand what it is that students need. I have created a language course that will take your fear and lack of confidence and flip it on its head (turn it upside down).

I'm Leila, born and raised in the UK, but I've had the privilege of living in other countries such as, Iran, the States (USA) and Canada. My true passion is teaching English and to see my students succeeding in achieving their goals. I started teaching before the age of 20. The first time I went to university, I got a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and I majored in memory and how to improve it. This really helped me in my teaching, to help my students learn the language and remember it. After I got my Bachelor's I was blessed with a son and shortly after that, a daughter, both of whom are the centre of my world.
After my children, the thing that gives meaning and purpose to my life is the excitmement and thrill that I see in students' eyes once they have passed an important exam, got their dream job or achieved any other life passion.
I've had the pleasure of teaching some students who have gone on to bigger and greater things, such as immigrating to their country of choice, being accepted at their dream university, getting their ideal job, opening up their own business and going on to be extremely successful. All of them now have greater sense of confidence to go anywhere, talk to anyone and do anything. They can now really enjoy life to the max.

Course Content
This course consists of over 80 lessons and 15 hours worth of video content. It has 10 modules.
The lessons taught on this course comprise of English for everyday purposes both in social settings and in the workplace. So whether you wish to communicate more effectively at work or would like to gain in confidence in meeting people and socialising, this course will teach you everything you need to know to be able to start speaking just like a native English speaker.
My aim in this video is to introduce you to the different segments of the course and to show you how, with my guidance every step of the way, you can make the most of the lessons and start speaking at a much higher level.

Module 1
Welcome
You’ll get an overview of the course structure, learn how to navigate the materials efficiently, and set personal goals for your intermediate‐level English progress.
Module 2
Greetings
What you’ll learn: How to go “beyond hello” with both formal and informal openings, how to keep a conversation flowing naturally, and how to turn a statement into a question.
Grammar focus: Using prepositions after know (“Do you know about…?”) and mastering question‐formation in statement form (“You’re coming, aren’t you?”).
Module 3
Banking
What you’ll learn: Key vocabulary and dialogues for payroll inquiries, applying for personal and business loans, and other everyday banking tasks, plus cultural insights on how banking works in English-speaking countries.
Grammar focus: The passive “get” (“I got paid,” “My loan got approved”) to describe both the action’s effort and its result.
Module 4
Complimenting Someone
What you’ll learn: How to offer genuine compliments in casual, professional, and even sarcastic contexts, and how to respond graciously when someone praises you.
Grammar focus: Using first and second conditionals (“If you keep this up, you’ll be unbeatable”) to sound more native-like when giving praise or encouragement.
Module 5
Conflict at Work
What you’ll learn: Professional phrases to express and resolve disagreements, plus key cultural expectations for workplace diplomacy.
Grammar focus: Linking words and phrases (“however,” “on the other hand,” “despite”) to structure your points clearly when addressing conflict or proposing solutions.
Module 6
Responses
What you’ll learn: How to reply to good news, bad news, and unexpected or awkward situations with the right tone—so your responses feel natural and empathetic.
Grammar focus: Tag questions (“That was great, wasn’t it?”) and modal verbs (“I could help if you’d like”) for nuanced, polite reactions.
Module 7
Strengths and Weaknesses
What you’ll learn: Tactful ways to talk about your own and others’ strengths without sounding arrogant, and to present weaknesses honestly yet professionally.
Grammar focus: Choosing between the base form of verbs in the present simple (“I work best under pressure”) and forms of to be (“I am detail-oriented”) for accurate self-description.
Module 8
Friendly Chat
What you’ll learn: Strategies for launching and sustaining casual, friendly conversations with both acquaintances and strangers—so you can network and make new friends effortlessly.
Grammar focus: Inversion for emphasis (“Never have I seen…”), and using the present simple to narrate past events (“So I say to him…”).
Module 9
Finishing a Conversation
What you’ll learn: Signal phrases, polite closers, and even nonverbal cues (tone, body language) to end chats gracefully—without abruptness or awkwardness.
Grammar focus: Omitting repeated sentence elements for brevity (“I’ve got to go now” → “Got to go now”) and making your speech sound more fluid.
Module 10
Around the House
What you’ll learn: Vocabulary and dialogues for talking about household chores, giving instructions to children or roommates, and discussing home life with your partner.
Grammar focus: Softening directives with modal shall (“Shall we start dinner?”) and other tone-softening strategies to sound polite and collaborative.

The other 9 modules, each focus on one specific topic and teach you how to speak in different situations. The topics have mainly been chosen based on students' own preferences. The conversation videos as well as grammar, phrasal verbs, idioms, culture and more will all teach you how to have meaningful conversations in a natural way.
